19th of April: One Ocean Portrait - "The Children by the North Sea"

Although sustainability is a word that most organizations have to deal with, children's place in these conversations is often overlooked. This film shows how children and staff in a kindergarten in Øygarden got involved in a sensory and aesthetic project about the ocean. 

We follow the exploratory processes of the children and staff, artists and researchers. The film links life in and by the sea to artistic methodologies, local species diversity, and the local coastal culture. 

The film references Statsraad Lehmkuhl's circumnavigation of the globe for climate research and feelings among the participants that are triggered when nature is threatened and when it is valued.
