Like Norway, Portugal is a coastal nation, and both countries have many references to coastal culture in their film history. FILMar is a project in collaboration with the cinematheques in Oslo and Lisbon to promote this film heritage and create a better understanding of national history, traditions and identity. The aim of FILMar is to bring forward historical material from the film archives, make the film heritage available and stimulate its use in various arenas.
