A net zero future requires hydrogen at scale
The large-scale production, transport, storage and utilization of hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels such as ammonia and methanol, is essential on the pathway to net zero and a clean energy future as highlighted in DNV’s Energy Transition Outlook.

With many hydrogen and Power-to-X (PtX) pilot projects ongoing all over the world, we now need to scale up safely and realize commercial projects for a real impact on emissions, energy- and food security. Norway is in a unique position to accelerate the industry and be a key global player.

We are pleased to invite you to a seminar that through expert insights and forecasts will explore challenges such as:

  • Which strategies can best accelerate the scaling of hydrogen?
  • What can be done to reduce risk and increase the attractiveness of hydrogen investments?
  • How can hydrogen safety challenges and risk perceptions be overcome?

At the seminar DNV will have the official opening of a dedicated hydrogen testing and research facility. The facility is an expansion of the capabilities of the Technology Centre in Bergen and will be used to quantify the performance of materials used in hydrogen transportation and storage.
The facility marks also an expansion of DNV’s materials performance and testing capabilities for the DNV Technology Centres in Norway, UK, Netherland, USA and Singapore.

Join us for this seminar and get insights from:

  • Jørg Aarnes, Global Lead Hydrogen and CCS, DNV
  • Christophe Fornetran, Asset manager Aukra, Aker Horizons
  • Kirsten Jennifer Mauchline, Wells & Subsurface CCUS Lead, Baker Hughes
  • Ronny Haufe, CEO, H2 Production AS/ CCB Energy
  • Monica Mæland, leder, Bergen Næringsråd
  • Muhammad Ismail Shah, CEO Technology Centre, Mongstad
  • Tore Roberg Andersen, Leading engineer Materials Technology, Equinor
  • Tarlan Hajilou, Sen. Eng / PhD in Hydrogen, DNV
  • Mads Arild Eidem, Head of Section, DNV Technology Centre Bergen

After the program there will be time for some refreshments and a tour of the new hydrogen lab facility. We look forward to meeting you on 19 April. See the full program and register here.
