Norway is preparing for the launch of producer responsibility for new product groups that can generate marine litter / ocean plastic, like equipment and tools from fishing and aquaculture. Through presentations and panel debate, our event “Extended producer responsibility – possibility or threat?” aims to mobilise engagement and generate debate around how we best can prepare for - and get the most out of - extended producer responsibilities, and also if the arrangements can contribute to generating a customer side for businesses working with marine litter clean-up.

The arrangement is part of our focus on business development within marine litter, and is a follow-up of the panel debate we arranged during Arendalsuka in August 2022, titled “Marine litter – a new ocean industry?”.
