What is One Ocean Week?

One Ocean Week is a meeting place for debate and exchange of experiences related to a sustainable use of the ocean. The first edition was arranged 15.-21st of April 2023.

Through conferences, meetings, activities and culture various players will shine a light on creating the sea we need for the future we want. One Ocean Week will be an annual event that will create attention, and share knowledge, about the important role the ocean has for sustainable development in a global perspective. The week is open to everyone who is interested in preserving and using the sea, the lakes and marine resources in a sustainable way.

One Ocean Week is a collaboration between One Ocean Havbyen Bergen and partners, with support from Bergen municipality and Vestland county municipality. One Ocean Week is an annual event:

2025: 07.-11. April
2026: 13.-17. April
2027: 19.-23. April 
2028: 24.-28. April
2029: 14.-20. April
2030: 6.-12. April

One Ocean Havbyen Bergen are actors with a focus on sustainable value creation linked to the sea. A world-leading initiative that will promote increased interaction, attractiveness, sustainable growth and competence in the marine industries with Bergen as the central driving force.
